I qualified with Body Control Pilates in 2007, teaching all levels of Mat and Equipment Pilates. Since then I have gone on to work closely with medical professionals and other Pilates Educators such as the inspirational Ana Barretxeguren of Brighton Pilates Studio to enhance my knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation. Pilates really helped me recover from back injuries and this compliment to rehabilitation is what I love most.
Most recently I qualified as a Slings Myofascia Practitioner with the brilliant Karin Gurtner of Art of Motion Academy. The Slings classes work on the elastic and gliding capacity of our Fascial system, including bouncing and rhythmic movements but also quiet times of interoception and absorption. Anatomy (and Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains Fascial Meridians) is at the heart of the movements. Slings really thinks about the why and the intention of the movements. Besides exercises developed especially for Slings, the training consists of adapted exercises from Yoga, Pilates and other therapeutic approaches to the body in movement.
I specialise in back care, sporting performance, pre- & post-natal, & rehabilitation.
I am proud to have worked with the Sussex Men's Cricket team including England Players Joffra Archer and Luke Wright.
I have over 12 years experience teaching Mat and Equipment classes at all levels.
I run small pilates classes and private lessons in Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks.
My classes are small, which means I can give you personal attention.
